Retailers take note: if you have one of these in your parking lot you’ve won the hearts and dollars of every mommy in a 10 mile radius.
This particular sign is at my local H-E-B. For those of you outside Texas, H-E-B is a local grocery store chain which can be best described as a combination of Whole Foods and Safeway.
But this post isn’t so much about H-E-B as it is the sign. They’ve designated the first parking space in every row with one of these glorious signs (behind the handicapped spaces, of course). And when I’ve got E in one hand, a cup of coffee in the other, 5 reusable shopping bags tucked under my arm and a purse/diaper bag flung over my shoulder not having to trek from the very back of the parking lot is HUGE! Major grocery store bonus points to H-E-B!
It leaves me wondering, why don’t more retailers do this? All it costs them is the price of the sign, that’s it. And it earns instant customer bonus points from anyone lugging around small children. Wal-Mart, Target, shopping malls? Are you listening? Please help mommas out! Put up some signs!
The Best Buy by my parents not only has a mommy sign, it’s a mommy/pregnant lady sign. YES.
